• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

First Code -- Thank You SpyderCodes and SpyderLovers!

Got my first code :2excited: Huh ... you say? Why be excited over an error code? Well, I turned to my trusty phone and SpyderCodes to Look up U0155 (now saved, BTW) .... says has something to do with communication error in the CANBus (yikes)! nojoke Then I come here, to the board, and see what this crowd has to say about the code. NO BIG DEAL and not uncommon when one is changing the clock, if the :spyder2: moves (even just a tiny bit) -- which I guess mine did while I was fiddling with the clock, because I know I didn't have my foot on the brake and had not yet set the parking brake since I was sitting on a level surface in our shop.

So ... thank you Roger for SpyderCodes  and thank you SpyderLovers  for putting my mind at ease ... All the best Ann

There you go...!!

that's what it's all about. The great part is being able to help..:2thumbs: ryde on...

For as expensive as these machines are it still amazes me how finicky they are. Why on earth should moving the bike a bit while adjusting the clock throw an error?

I never heard of getting a code when setting the clock?

What's this bug about exactly?

My clock runs fast so after about a month it is off by about 5 minutes. So I reset it all the time and never got a code?

Is this only on specific model years?

Bob .... you can't set the clock while driving (the spyder won't let you get to those settings) nojoke So, if the :ani29: moves while you are setting the clock, something in it's programming says "hey ... you can't do that!" and tosses an error at you for good measure.

All the best .... Ann

Well I have always been stopped when setting the clock but I do have to try this...

So while the engine is NOT running and your setting the clock you just let the Spyder roll a little to get it to complain?

Clock and Engin

Bob ... in this case, my engine was still running. Had just pulled in from a ride and decided to set the clock before shutting down. Normally, I set the clock in "static" mode (no running engine) and, like you, had never received an error.

All the best .... Ann

clock

I see my clock is an hour and a quarter fast after a year. I might as well wait till the time change now to look up the procedure for adjusting. The GPS still gives me the right time
