• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Motorcycle Safety

Well since we are all well into Spring we are seeing more and more bikes on the road. Remember the cagers are not used to seeing bikes all winter so lets remember all the rules and ride safe.

As you all know I am big into sport bikes and we have already lost 3 riders here in the past month, one of them I actually rode with the day before he was t-boned at an intersection. There are good and bad riders in every community and that is certainly true for the sporting bike groups but lets do our part to avoid situations that can have very bad outcomes.

Most importantly ride within your ability, be safe and have a good riding season. There is nothing like the open road experience.:doorag:

:agree:Good reminder! I think the Spyder's wide profile makes it more visible to cagers than a conventional motorcycle, but we can't afford to be complacent, or assume that we have been seen. Defensive riding and situational awareness are the keys, whether on two or three wheels.

We can never be too safe but it is a little more comforting to know that we're 5 feet wide and 8 feet long...a much larger and more visible profile than on a 2 wheeler.

I am very aware when I ride and I think people are so amazed with the Spyder, they really can't miss it...then again...

Visibility is key...get more NMN lights!!

Since my spyder is parked for the week while waiting for my exhuast to arrive I have been riding my bike. I must admit its nice to do some wheelies:opps::lecturef_smilie:but I am riding like I am on my Spyder which in the long run is a bit more safer
