• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Help from Air Hawk seat cushion users

Looking for your remedies. For a '13 ST SE5 Ltd, I am sure you have found the little straps that are provided with the seats are
1 Too short, and 2 will fall out when lifting the seat for fueling if the Air Hawk is not attached. Example; I take a ride and my wife doesn't, so her cushion is in the frunk. I stop to get gas and lift the seat and the back straps may fall out. Do you take the straps out? I can easily cut the straps and make them longer but what are you doing about the other problem?

I never use the straps. The cushion doesn't move around when I'm riding, of course that could be because I'm a big guy.

I never use the straps on my air hawk. I use it for long trips, but once I get to where I am going and hit the twisties, I remove it.

I am also one who has never used the straps on the AirHawk or on my sheepskin gel cushions.

For me, they do not slide around. It also makes it easier to add or put the cushion away quickly. No problems with worrying about theft either. Throw it in the frunk or trunk.

Which Airhawk cushion do you use? I have a 14 RT. There seems to be several kinds.

I have the medium cruiser and it fits both me and the seat fine. Sounds like I am trying to make a problem where none exists. I think I'll just put the straps back in tha package in case I want them later and go riding.

As always, thanks for the lessons learned from your experience.

Was just going to pull trigger on an Airhawk and decided to check in to see if any advise. Glad I did. will get Airhawk 'R" which was my 1st choice but always good to have confirmation. :chat:

Most are going with the AirHawk R. I have the cruiser medium because there was no such thing as the R model when I bought mine.

I have an AirHawk2 and I use both straps on my 2013 ST and it doubles to hold the sheepskin that I reassigned from car duty to Spyder duty. Straps are long enough as they are adjustable.

Another Air hawk report

I didn't get the R model as I found out the preference after I bought the medium cruiser model. It took a couple of rides for my wife and I to get the two cushions dialed in but once we did we both couldn't be happier. Now we take off on rides without even thinking about monkey butt.
Dealing with the company was both easy and we had good service. They get my vote for a excellent product and a fair price.
