There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Two Brothers Gasket

When you put on your new exhaust did you let the sealant set over night before you rode and with the two brothers dual pipe did you replace use the oem gasket or any gasket at all. I have read that some could reuse their stock gasket due to damage or it being stuck but haven't found info on having to use a gasket for sure with this pipe.

Thanks,

have a single two bros can and don't have a gasket, barley got it together without one, no leaks or problems, except for it being so loud that if you piss it up on the same road some people tend to call the cops, so if you don't work for them it may cause trouble for you.

Thanks Setho what are your feelings on letting the sealant set over night before running it? I am going to start the install right now.....

When I added my dual Two Bros pipe there was no need to use the orignial or any gasket. I did put a bead of the provided silicon on the inside of the pipe provided by Two Bros.

I had a mechanic friend assist me with the install and he said there was no reason to wait for the silicon to cure overnight. So we fired it up as soon as we finished installing it.

Pipe has been on there for a few weeks now and even with the added backpressure of the P4 tips I dont seem to have any issues.

Hope that helps.

Do either of you have any issues with your Spyder running rough? I installed the Two Brothers duals a few weeks ago and she is running rough. Had it at the dealer today and they said everything is fine and that all the after market pipes have issues. They tell me there isnt much that can be done and the sluggish throttle and coughing when I gear down are typical. Magic man suggested I disconnect power but the dealer told me that would not make a difference. Just curious to see if others with the Two Brothers duals noticed a difference??:dontknow:

Being that I think there is a lot more "experience talking" regarding aftermarket pipes on the Spyder on this forum than what your dealer probably has, I'd listen to the forum members advice over what the dealer says in this instance. Certainly, disconnecting the battery for 20 minutes or so to clear the Spyder's memory can't hurt and it may be enough to solve your problem or help with your problem. To say that all aftermarket pipes give the Spyder issues just ain't true.

I have been riding with this pipe since last Wednesday and so far so good. Throttle is more responsive. It seems to run just fine. At idle it does seem to fluctuate the rpms as if it is breathing but it is still around the same rpms as the stock.

I have another post on here but yes I disconnected the battery and let it sit for a bit and reconnected. Fired it up and it runs great. You are right the forum members seem to know more than the dealers. Fortunately the dealer didnt charge me anything for their inaccurate advice!!:agree:

In most cases, we have the benefit of hands on experience. I bet there are a few hundred muffler installs on a Spyder in this forum while your dealer has probably only done a couple at best. Plus, dealers installing Hindles or other pipes are probably doing it on a new Spyder with very low miles (or zero miles) so their results are probably different than someone who installs the pipe with hundreds or thousands of miles on the odometer.
