• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

So how do you transfer pics from the phone to a website?

Don't say Photobucket or Dropbox....both those services don't let you "choose" which pics, they want to download all or nothing.

So how else? :banghead:

Plug your phone into your computer & "import" the pictures to a folder that you create. Then you can pick & choose what you want to post. Like an Avatar.

Plug the phone into a computer. Find DCIM folder drill into it till you get to the pictures. Select all and right click either cut or copy. Go to folder you create on the desktop click it and right click paste on the folder. Easy Peasy

Does an iPhone have a separate folder like that?

I thought the proprietary software only allowed you to do things through iTunes concerning music and pictures.

Ill have to try that.

In the past jump dumped all to Dropbox but just getting too many duplicates and eating up too much space. :(

You can also download photos from the I phone to an app called Nikon transfer. Once the phone is plugged in to the computer, Nikon transfer automatically comes up and the photos are loaded. You can then select each photo and tell the app what to do with it. You can leave it in the download file, move it to your desktop, or move it to another folder either before or after modifying it by cropping, size change, color enhancement, etc.

Sounds like I have a few things to try once I crank up the old PC.

Getting too use to the iPad.

Do as suggested to plug in to your pc and THEN once you have them there, drag or copy the ones you want into Dropbox, that way you have access even from your I-Pad.
