• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

accomadations for spyders in the smokies

Bob, I booked a room at the Red Roof Inn in Gatlinburg. A lot of Spyder folks, including Gail and yours truly stayed there last year. It is very reasonably priced and clean. We are checking in on Sept. 21, out on Sept. 25.

Director,
Sounds like a plan. Maybe we can get together to see about riding down together. I'm not sure about your travelling plans, but I was figuring on a 2 or 3 day run down to Gatlinburg and planning the 4 days there.
I'll be putting a ride for Wednesday together as well that will take in "Devil's Triangle". I was there in early April and loved it.

We will be staying at the Red Roof Inn again this year also. Checking in the 21st and departing the 26th. Looking forward to seeing everyone again.

I just reserved my room as well. Coming in on the 22nd and leaving on the 25th. May stay longer, it is a ways out still but didn't want to get caught sleeping on the floor.

Hey, Bill. Sounds good. We are planning a two-day ride down. We rode back last year in one day, and it was a very long day (about 14 hours), but it is a comfortable two-day ride. We will probably stop in or near Dayton on the first day (Sunday, Sept. 20) and plan to arrive in Gatlinburg on the afternoon of Monday, Sept. 21. I will post here and on your forum about the first night's accommodations.

NEW RYDER!!!

Just so everybody knows, I am picking up my brand new 2009 Spyder today!!!! I have waited 2 weeks since I put the deposit on it because I have a big ol watermelon head and had to order a helmet that fits! LOL!! I also had to wait for the custom 5 spoke wheels I am putting on it. Talked to the dealer this am and he said all is ready!! Havent ridden in over 4 years due to injury in Baghdad and I am stoked to be able to get back on a bike. We have a ryde scheduled for this Saturday here in Arkansas and I cant think of a better way to break it in. Gary... I will see ya Sat.:2excited::roflblack:
