There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Ft Lauderdale is a great town.Tons to do.If you dont want to ride buy an all day ticket on the water taxi.Ft lauderdale is the Venice of America.Visit Las Olas, bahia Mar,New River.lots of places to eat.The water taxi takes you there.Shooters is a good place on the water.
Another famous excursion is the Jungle Queen a paddle steamer 2 hr approx trip up the New River.Las Olas Blvd.Great eateries, shops has a Cheesecake factory.
If you want to ride head North on A1a until you get to Palm Beach. Then turn round and head back.Slow but a cool ride.Hope this helps.

My wife and I will be flying in on Thursday the day of departure. We like to meet up with everyone at the pool level before departure. I will be wearing my Can Am white owner hat. We should be at the pool side early afternoon. (2ish)

Might be a little late for a reply. Personally, I would consider the Palm Beach A1A ride better for an easy oceanside ride away from some hustle and bustle. Blast up 95 to Hobe Sound, take Bridge Road (not an I95 exit) to the ocean, then take an easy drive south back to FTL. There are a few spots you need to ride back over to US1 for a bit, Jupiter Inlet, Singer Island area into West Palm.

Another fun and something different ride is around Lake Okeechobee.

Have fun, and always be on the lookout for tourists and snowbirds that drive poorly.

Toy run

On Sunday the 7th is the toy run. They normally have over 50,000 bikes that go from the Mardi Gras Casino to Markham Park. They shut down the streets and the Interstates for about 4 hours to get the bikes out.

We will be leaving Friday morning heading to Perry , Fl. Sat to Key Large and Sunday on to Key West. Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Although I haven't decided for certain yet, Cindy & I, may very well head toward West, Flarda, on Sunday, spend the night over on that side and then head east to Ft. Liqourdale on Monday. Haven't made up my mind for sure yet.

Chris

We have our bags packed and are heading out tomorrow morning. I think I'm gonna take the long route. We'll probably head west first and go down the west coast, and then shoot on over to Ft. Liqourdale. More than likely will spend the night in Naples, Flarda.:yes:

Chris

Glad you arrived safely and that I picked a good hotel.I leave tomorrow to meet the group at Ft Lauderdale then will see you Tuesday,We should get there 3pm or so.Incidentally Reggie has arranged for anyone in the group who wants to come to Bike nite at Hooters Ft Lauderdale on Wed night.Weather forecast for the next week is great.

We're in Naples, Flarda. Trying to decide whether to take the Tamiami Trail or Alligator Alley. Decisions decisions.

Chris

Cindy & I, opted (as Ivor recommended) to take the Tamiami Trail (named because it runs from Tampa to Miami). It was a very beautiful scenic ride. Some would say boring, but to this native "Flowridian" it was gorgeous and reminded me of days past when my dad would haul us down to Miama in his pickup truck to visit my uncle.

We arrived to the smiling face of Ivor around 3:30 P.M., in Ft. Liqourdale.

Chris

The group arrived in Key West around 4:15 P.M. It's a bit unusually cool and the sky is quite cloudy. Weather man is calling for cooling temperatures in the morning. Today it was in the low 70s. Great group of people and we're looking forward to going on the cruise to Cozumel. Gene was already here in Key West when we arrived.
It was kinda unusual to see chickens running around everywhere. I haven't seen that scene since the 50s. Everyone's spyders have been running beautifully.

Chris

Wife and I are looking forward to meeting everyone on the ship Thursday.
