• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ultimate seat - issue

Has anyone had an issue with sliding while seated on the Ultimate seat? I had no issues with the stock seat but I slide forward when braking hard and backward when accelerating. If so, does anyone have any ideas on reducing the slide without making the seat sticky to the touch.

Every Ultimate and Corbin seat that I have sat on makes me slide forward too so I stick with my vinyl BRP Comfort Seat. I don't even have to be braking and they make me slide. Have you asked Ultimate what they suggest?

I don't mean to sound... whimsical about this.

You know that it happens; keep your feet planted, and your hands on the bars. You'll never hit the dash panels!
What are you using to clean the seat? Armor-All? :yikes:

i once cleaned the seats in a 72 coup de ville i had with armor all. lol the first turn i made i slid from the drivers seat to the passenger seat

Bob, the seat is 1 month old - no product whatsoever has touched the seat. Nor does the seat need cleaning at this point. Unlike you I don't crap my pants every time my ass hits the seat. ;)

Kidding aside, that's the same thing they asked when I called Ultimate. I don't even keep Armorall in the house--I am very aware of its affects and have been for 20 years since the time a carwash douched my then car with the stuff and made my car's interior a bouncey house. Please keep the thoughts and suggestions coming.

I have a heated corbin seat . It has been on the spyder for about 12,000 miles and I still slide around on the seat.
I use corbin saddle cream on the seat and it is still slippery. I just make sure I hang on and am aware of it all the time.
The seat is very comfortable for me so its just a little inconvenience for me. I don't like the stock seat with the bump pushing into my lower back.

I had one of my seats that was slippery enough for my wife to slide into me on stops. I went to the local sporting goods store and in the baseball section they had a towel with a substance for batters to hold onto the bat. It wasn't rozin but provided some grip without making a mess.

I am thinking its the finish on the leather that corbin uses. Its a smooth shiny finish . When I first saw my corbin seat I thought that the smooth finish would eventually rub off,but not the case.
I thought by using corbin saddle cream that would add grip but it did not.

Sort of a bother but how about using rubber shelf liner? Everything sticks to that but not permanently. You could roll it up and stick it in your pocket when you get off.
