• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2015 RT Limited FRUNK Switch

We are getting mixed reaction about the frunk button. Some say yes, some say no, some say catalog, some say not. When I tried to order one through the catalog, dealer said it was marked discontinued. (2014 catalog).

Oh BRPCare....where are you. :yes::yes:

Frunk Switch for 2014

So with the switch missing has anyone designed an after market option to add to the Spyder to right this wrong.

Frunk Switch

I think Doc Riverside installed a switch on his '14 RT with photos and step by step instructions. I can't find it right this minute but I know I saw it recently.

Frunk Switch"

Since I have never owned any other Spyder then my 2014 RT-S, what is this Frunk Switch you speak of? How does it work? Does the key need to be in the switch, does the switch have to be on, how is the Frunk secured?

On the 2010 RTs, you had to have your bike running to unlock the Frunk with this feature...
Since then; the ignition switch need only be turned to the "On" position, for it to operate. :thumbup:

An update on the frunk switch from BRP.

I contacted Steve from BRP Care about the elusive frunk switch.

His reply:

"Hi akspyderman,

I've looked into this and can confirm that there will be no actuator nor wiring that comes with the main harness - the only way to open the frunk is still with the main key. The photo on the website is an oversight and I'm working to have it fixed.

You can feel free to relay this information on the threads you're referring to.

Thanks Steve "
