• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder racing......

Spyderfest usually includes a night at the drag strip for Spyders. The Los Angeles Spyders make a couple of trips a year to Track Days at Fontana Raceway (I think)

No..!!

Our club goes to the track from time to time and they let us cut loose. The electronics on these vehicles do limit how much you can do so full out racing may be some time coming. Rev limiters, stability controls etc would have to be modified but for a driver only competions where all vehicles are even it would be fun..who knows..:dontknow:

I'm sure someone, somewhere has figgered out how to defeat all those safety features. But I agree, even with the safety features, driver only, roadster to roadster on the track just might be a lot of fun.
:2thumbs:

DrewNJ figured it out; it wasn't useable as a daily driver, but it made for a fun "Track Day" with his buddies.

:agree: Like all those safety features right where they are.

Find yourself a Spyder-riding buddy and head out to the local drag races. They usually have motorcycle night at least once a month. Find out what safety gear is needed for that track (SNELL helmets, armor, etc.) and have fun!

Who knows, you might start something.

SpyderFest in Springfield MO is the only all Spyder drag races that I know of.

Drag races are OK, but I'm thinking Summit Point, Mid Ohio, Pocono, Watkins Glen, New Hampshire, VIR,............

There's a charity run to Pocono Raceway that includes 3 laps on the track. Do a little searching through the forums; it's been talked about here before.

Trb--
