• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ringing in 2015, the Model Year

So, what did you do today? I traded in my 2012 RT for this shiny new 2015 RT-S Special Series. I took the long way home and finished up my inaugural ride in the snow, but I loved every minute!

I do have a couple of questions...

My 2012 had brand new Elka 1+R shocks. Should I have the dealer swap them onto this machine?

I also had a BajaRon Sway Bar. Should I have the dealer swap that?

I was surprised how smooth the ride on the new machine, it makes me wonder whether what were upgrades on the 2012 are necessary on the 2015. Thoughts?

Just test drove the F3 a few hours ago. If your new ryde is anything like the F3' it needs nothing added. That is beautiful.

Change out the Windshield bracket for a black powder coated one.

I don't know if the Elkas will swap - if they will, I'd swap them. The sway bar is a good idea, but I believe you'll need one specific to the 2013/14/15 models...

Depends..!

do you feel you need them..?? How much time do you have to decide..?? The sway bar is at a fair price if you decide later on, but the shocks are pricey....:dontknow:

Are there any major improvements/changes to the 2015 vs. the 2014? My dealer said there were not and did give me a good price on Mr. Cognac....no complaints, just wondering....and congrats on your '15.

:spyder2:

I had Elka s on my 2012 but never felt the need for them on the 2014.. I did add the sway bar after about 6000 miles and it does help for windy conditions There is no question that the quality of ride was dramatically improved in 2014 and forward over the earlier models

Thanks for the input, everyone! I don't necessarily feel the need for the Elkas and the sway bar, but 50 miles isn't much for me to base that on. But now is my opportunity to swap them out from my 2012, so that's why I'm asking. But if the parts don't fit, then I will quit.

:congrats: on your new 2015. :2thumbs::2thumbs:

I recommend about a thousand miles before making any major changes to the :spyder2: I have never added either elkas or a sway bar to any of my five machines. There are some who will disagree, but that is their choice.
