There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. A sad day...put Spyder into winter storage - ugh....

It Had To Happen

Looked at the weather for Mora for Saturday and looks like a high of 32 with snow falling in the morning, and as Jim said the highs in the 20's next week.
Looking at that I gave the Spyder it's last bath of this season tonight. I will add Stabil Sunday and make sure the tank is topped off, and put the battery tender on.
Since I have a heated garage I do not need to do more than that plus I will be doing some farkling this winter?
:(:(:(:(:(:(

Good night sweet prince/princess

We had a great year with our 2014 RT Limited! :D Over 12,500 miles of smiles this year with an AWESOME machine!

It's a sad day as it went into winter storage....cleaned it up, prepped it, plugged in the battery tender, and put the full cover on for it's winter sleep in our garage!

Hope all of you had a great year and let's hope for an early spring! After the last two years in Minnesnowta, we need a mild winter and early spring!

I live in "sunny" California, so I will ride a mile for you this winter.;)

Hope you have a mild winter. You have a lot of space in that garage -- wish I had some extra room! You have a great bike! I had a 2012 RT Limited b4 trading it in on the 2014. Our 2012 RT Limited was very reliable and we really liked it! :2thumbs:
It is actually in my basement, like to keep it close to work on things during the winter months;)and my outdoor garage/shed is snowed in and not heated! Luckily I never had any issues with gas smell. Yes I love my 2012, it has been a very good ride!:clap:Yes hoping anyone in a snowy region has a mild and short winter!

Did you close off the exhaust tips? Mice can find the most interesting places, in which to build a nest!

I have 2 large rubber corks that I plug up the exhaust with. Also have 3 large aluminum foil turkey pans that I have under the wheels to avoid salty water from the suv side of the garage from attacking the tires.

:nopic: Of your "Basemented" Spyder?? :2thumbs:

My Missus is just happy that our front door isn't wide enough for... :D
Bob there is a pic in my above post, but here is another.Like to be able to work on it when ever I have free time during the winter. (In the warmth) as you can see, it kind of double as my garage.

I agree about working in the warmth during winter. I have converted the third bay in my garage. Put up a wall with a service door between the other two bays. Added heat and lots of lights, small fridge, tv, stereo system, raised vinyl floor, air table (Handy) lift, hydraulic (Sears) motorcycle lift, and lots of tools. Look past the Spyder and you can see most of the bay.

Hi Les, that's a nice "man cave" ! You could live out there - LOL :D

I probably asked you b4, but what model is your handylift for the Spyder? Where did you get it?

Keep warm.....looks like upper 20's for high's next week..........brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. :banghead::banghead:

Mixed feelings for sure about the upcoming winter. After last year, I even already have the winters on the car and the Spyder has been to bed for two weeks. Maybe this season I will play with plastidip on some of the parts that have been removed.

Jim,

My lift is their model 1000 purchased about 10 years ago directly from Handy and truck delivered to my door. If I was purchasing a new one today it would be their 1500 with the Spyder attachment.

Les

I too live in Minnesota (Owatonna) and will be putting the bike away for the winter. They are saying up to 8 inches of snow on Monday. First year on the bike which we bought in July and have loved every ride. Hoping to have more fun next year. Hopefully we have a short winter and early spring.
