• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Last Monday and won't be able to ride until I get docs approval. I just got the RT sm6 this past june and was only able to put on 800 miles. The riding season is just starting here in las Vegas and I'm jonesin for a ride. Anybody have this done and how long before you rode again? Thanks

Dang, you should have had that done in June then you could have rested up over the long hot summer. Good luck with the rehab and we will see you later in the winter. If we do a group dinner you should join us, it isn't necessary to ride just show up.

Sad news..!!

hope all goes well with the recovery. You will be back soon enough but do let it heal well..don't rush...:lecturef_smilie:

:agree: Heal quickly and completely!
But until then...

I'm sure that you can find some volunteers in here, who'll keep the :spyder2: properly exercised! :D

A friend had a full hip replacement...on the 5th week she was throwing her leg over the saddle and testing "the waters"...week 6 we were ryding 20 - 30 miles...after that...no limits!!! And no she is not super tough...actually she hates pain!!! :yikes: So she was realllllly reluctant but the call of the Spyder got her to "try"....her ortho Doc said after week 4 ... try it, slowly, and pay attention to your body...
Sooooo freedom is close for you...and wow no more hip pain....you can sign up for a couple iron butts!!!

It should have been done over a year ago. The Dr. I was using treated me with meds and pt. 2/3rd opinions both recomended surgery.

What were the symptoms of needing a hip replacement if you don't mind me asking? :dontknow:

Pain in groin area of affected leg.
Very little leg rotation.
Hard to sit or stand.
Hard to sleep with the pain.
Difficult to bend over.
Painful to walk.

I'm on my forth total hip. I'd say 3 to 6 months to be safe.

Good luck with the new hip work. Just make sure you heal up 100%. Don't rush it and aggravate the condition.
