• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Wifey left in the dark on her Harley Heritage to go teach school.. went her regular way after she got off interstate..out of the corner of her eye.. she saw a deer.. she let up on the gas.. it started running the road beside of her...then ..blam ran in front of her.. she slammed on the brakes HARd --and didn't go into a slide,,, she said another 1/2 second and she would have center punched it.. she said she was very nervous the rest of the way.. someone had a flag in their yard and it was waving.. weirder her out..

So glad your wife is alright and nothing bad happened to her, bikes can be replaced, but loved ones, not so much!

Wow..!!

really fortunate things went that way. Too many deer driver confrontations don't go that way...:lecturef_smilie: give her a glass of wine and relax some...

Glad she is OK, I have a set of the deer whistles and have gone by deer on the side of the road. The heads are up and alert, but they stand perfectly still.

I'm glad to hear your wife is okay, she sounds like a good rider, and that's why she's okay. That is one of the main dangers of riding in the dark, or at dusk or dawn. The critters are out. I had much the same experience living in Arizona, on my Harley Fat Boy with three Javelina. needless to say I was puckered pretty tight.

Glad it all worked out on the good side. Deer used to scare me a lot when I drove in MN and WI. They were all over the place. Many close calls. It takes a good cycle driver to come to a quick stop without dumping the bike. Good for her.

deer

hey from my experience most of the time if you make no change to throttle or speed .no sound change they will stay still . if something changes then they panic good luck we travel thru their home

glad it worked out well for you folks.
maybe this will put a smile on.

We have some real idiots in this world. She is one of them//// The one on the radio station call that is...:yikes:

Glad your wife is ok:bowdown:

So glad to hear she is fine. Congratulate her for me on her riding skills :2thumbs:

The one I ran upon this week was standing that way as well. Only he was in the middle of the road .
