There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Body Forcing Decisisions

I've procrastinated over going from two wheels to three for quite a while now. A few days back I had my left knee buckle and pop while coming down my stairway at home blowing out something in the knee joint. Now I can't even get the two wheeler up off the kickstand because of the pain. I'm getting an MRI taken this coming week so the Doc can tell what kind of damage there is. I don't think I can trust my knees anymore, especially with an 850 pound motorcycle to hold up and back up. I wasn't thinking something like this was going to happen right away but now I am faced with it. Looks like the prime time to get a good deal on a Cognac 2014 RT-S at my dealer while he still has it.

 I am so sorry to hear that it's your health that is forcing your hand...
Get healed up quickly and completely, and take it from there!
Good Luck!

i made the same decision due to my feet. i didn't want to give up riding but i still miss being on two wheels

It is a wise man who knows his limitations and takes appropriate actions....been there got the t-shirt:cheers:

Been in the same boat as you. Pondered over the decision for 2 years before getting my Spyder.

Now I sit back & relax at red lights without the worry of toppling. No worry about centre or side stands either when parking or garaging it.

sounds like a plan!!! (or a good excuse to hit the wife with) :roflblack::roflblack: I had the same thing happen to me three years ago and chose the spyder as well. haven't looked back since and put almost 19k on the orange pumpkin!!! ps, the wife bought the reasoning with no problem at all!:roflblack:

If you need somebody to break the Spyder in while you're recuperating, I might be willing to make that sacrifice to help out a friend! :D

Bad Knees

That's the very reason I bought my new RT In July, I had knee surgery last Jan. and didn't feel safe on two wheels anymore after riding Gold Wings for fourty years. I'm glad I made the move to the RT..

Turned 65 this year and the GOLDWING was getting too heavy two up. Went with the Spyder and have done 7,500 miles since April. Would never go back. I also have a Harley but ride it very little. Always choose the Spyder.

Thanks folks!!!

I think I'll just go to my credit union tomorrow and pay the small balance off on the Victory. Then I'll see if I can get the bike up for a ride to Findlay Ohio to see about that 2014 RT-S. The MRI is Tuesday morning and I'll find out sometime after that what the Doc wants to do with my knee. Never know, I might just be riding that new Cognac Spyder home tomorrow!! Thanks to all of you.

Sorry to hear about your knee.
I'm a diabetic and starting to have problems with my feet. My wife has had 4 knee replacements and now she doesn't even need to get off the Spyder when I stop. Like most of you rode 2 wheelers for 46 years and it was time this to make the switch. I do not regret it.
Good luck with your knee and decision!

It sounds like it might be time to go with the :spyder2:. The same kind of issues caused me to trade the Vulcan off on the 2011.

I first tried putting on a 'Voyager Kit' onto the Harley Ultra Glide and added a reverse gear because I just had to keep the Harley. Felt like driving a quad in four wheel drive. :yikes: The curves would wear you out. Didn't ride much. Had the 2014 Spyder out on the twisties this last week and was surprised at how well I could maneuver the corners with so little effort. I now understand why so little mileage reported on tires. :roflblack:

Bogie, believe we have exact conditions. As a diabetic myself, and seeing neuropathy in both feet along with knee surgery, the Harley is becoming harder and harder to manage. Going to keep it, but ordered the F3-S In September since I have to have this bike. My girlfriend rydes her RSS so the two bikes pretty much take up the garage. So today I assembled a storage box for stuff that needs to go to make room for my new one.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1414363268.804857.jpg

Sad news..!!

hope your knee situation clears up nicely and you are back to normal. Sadly, though, it is a sign. I know it is far better if you make the choice but gotta say this one you will like anyway...

Good luck with the knee, ( I am in the 50's age group) I use to ride 2 -wheeled motorcycles,(Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, HD) I could not do the brake/clutch shifting, or balancing on a HD, so 2 years ago, I bought my first Spyder, and I not looking back.

On July 30th, 2014, I bought my 2nd spyder 2014RTS-SE6 in Cognac ( welcome to the cognac club) You are going to really like the 2014RTS-SE6 with the 1330ACE Engine and etc. Deanna
