• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Showed my wife a picture of the F3....here's what she said!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Lotus Sevens had a front not unlike the F3 and with a little imagination/inspiration they can
get that plain old front end looking meaner than ummmm..... a really angry mean thing!
Didn't like it at first but it grew on me and now I'm getting one hopefully in March.
This is the look I've chosen:

I don't much like the chrome trim on the bags......but that is easy to change.

That's a nice looking machine OJ. :2thumbs:
I would save the $1500 and buy some aftermarket bags. I am sure that Nelson Riggs will have something much cheaper and look just as nice.
I am partial to the Red one with the black stripes but I would want the red frame as well.

Except mine will be in white!!

That front end is definitely a watershed feature for many. I am wondering what the aftermarket people will come up with as alternatives.

Red Frame

I'm leaning toward the F3-S with the red frame, probably the silver (the white looks good too). I'd probably want the red racing stripes on the frunklid and that windshield & saddlebags. The only things different for me would be the bigger quick detachable passenger backrest and the driver backrest.

Know what you mean, Ron. The shiny aluminium/chrome piece at the top of the grille will
have to go or be re-painted. Then if you look at the Lotus Seven/Caterham owners club and
see how this kind of front can be embellished it's not rocket science!

Here're a few examples:

If you scroll though here there are several different versions of what really is the same thing.....
variations on a theme, if you will.

TBH I'm only changing for the new motor and transmission plus the much better brakes.....if the package was available in an RS I'd jump at it.
Time isn't on my side though and I need the new bike before my reactions slow too much. I don't think we'll see these changes happen in the RS/ST
until 2016/7 season. Sadly we don't get Nelson Rigg gear over here and importing stuff from the States is an expensive proposition by the
time that Her Majesty's Revenue & Customs have finished with you!! To give you an example my Corbin seat cost the equivalent of $1400!
