• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hi there and :welcome: You will find quite a range of cup holders ranging from $10 toys r us version to $150 custom made, depending on your individual preference. There are a number of site sponsors that provide cup holders. Personally I have this one http://www.eduoinnovations.com/. A site sponsor, I really like it, very good quality and fitment.

Do yourself a favor and and follow this lead for the best cup holder you can find for the Spyder, many a friend of mine tried several different ones and then finaly agreed that this was the best.

I got my cup holder from Inspector Gadget @ [email protected] He makes several items for Spyders. If for some reason the Web Site does not work he is on US Spyder Ryders Web Site

Heads up, this will not fit if you have Tri-axis bars on your bike.

I've also looked at many of these, and for the RT, THIS is the one I prefer. It's from Rivco, who is also a site sponsor. The bracket is made specifically for the RT. I like it because it eliminates the need to install a clamp around your handlebar. The cup holder (sold separately from the bracket) comes in chrome, black. or leather, and includes various size foam inserts to handle any size cup. It's very well made - all metal, no plastic, yet it isn't terribly expensive.

Here is a picture of the chrome one mounted on my Spyder.

The Drink-2-go one, mentioned by James68 above, is great for the rear seat, as it will clamp securely onto the rear hand grip.

Congratulations on your new RT. There's lots of fun in your future.

I liked their bracket, but not the cup holder. Mine is from the Ram system, modified to attach to the bracket (very easy task). It allowed more flexibility in cup/bottle sizes, included a foam wrap for cans and frozen bottles of water, allows condensation/spills to run out, and adds fore/aft movement to minimize spills... it had a tab on the back to allow it to lock into place, for some installations, that needed to be removed, but didn't compromise the holder at all...

Thanks, Dragonrider. That's not a bad idea!

I can see how the Ram cup holder could easily attach to the Rivco bracket for the RT. Probably just need to find the right size nut & bolt. The one disadvantage of my solid cup holder is that the drinks do tend to spill. Apparently not so with the Ram drink holder. See video...

All you need is a lock nut and washer - the rest ports straight across. Be sure to trim the plastic piece off the back of the holder, or it could brush the dash, on a hard turn.

This is, by far, the best set up I've had in years.

BTW, I have at least two Butler sets (different sizes), or at least most of the parts. If someone wants them, PM me & you can have them for the postage....
