• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder lift

I recently took delivery of my 2014 spyder rt limited. It is a simply beautiful machine. I have not been on a motorcycle of any kind for over 30 years. I jumped on this puppy and road 63 miles on my first day. WOW! I almost cried when I got back home. Again, what a machine!

Now ow for a couple of questions: can any recommend a jack that I can use to lift the Spyder? I will probably do my own service (oil change, tire changes etc). I also want to install a skid plate and front shocks (maybe). Any assistance would be appreciated.

If if I can figure how to post pics, I will share some of my "Big Dawg"

Again, I love this machine :yes::yes:

Welcome..!! Welcome..!!

to the spyder world and this most entertaining and educating site. Congrats on your new ryde..!! :2thumbs: as to lifts it will depend on how far you want to go. A floor jack and jackstands will work nicely. I use an ATV/motorcycle stand (harbor freight has many) from Sear's. Then there is a big blue lift and roll on types. Shop around..enjoy the ryde...

:congrats: Have a look in the DIY section. Some people have modified lift tables to work with a Spyder .

I use a set of old car ramps on the front and a floor jack under the shock on the swing arm, gives plenty of room.
