• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Mels monster Garage Windshield

Does anyone have the windshield made by Mels Monster Garage? It's avertised on EBAY as 3 inches taller than the Can am Sport/touring windshield. I'm looking for something to cut the wind noise down and keep my head from bobbling.

We got it for Quackerz :spyder2:. It is way taller than stock. Wife says she likes it. Cuts the wind nicley.

I don't think the extra 3" will do it. Depending on your height, you will need to look at something taller.

I have the Calsci XL and like it. Givi has a new shield out that looks really sharp and is only around $130. The Chad adjustable is one that many like too. Many also have gone with F1 shields by Marcel. I personally don't like his shields and basically don't trust him, but I'm in the minority. Buy at your own risk.

If I had to buy a taller shield tomorrow, it would be the Givi.

I just put the GIVI on. I'm about 5'8" and the top of the shield is about nose-level. I wear a full face helmet and have not noticed any severe head bobbling when riding. Might be a problem for someone taller. Sure beats the stock shield.
The top has a curved lip and does a nice job. Some have mentioned that the bars may get in the way of the windshield at full lock but in normal riding I haven't had that problem. Nice product, looks classy and works for me.

I don't have any information regarding the windshield. However, as a vendor, MMG is a great business to deal with. I have their backrest and was quite happy with the way they handled the transaction!

I love mine. Does not break all wind, which I prefer, buy most.

I bought one last year and yes it is about 3 inches taller then the BRP Touring sheild but I wanted something that wasn't to big. I find it moves the air to the top of my helmet and I'm 5-10. Looks are inportant to me.
