• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just gotta say.... Hit 10K today.....

No issues! I have always done my own service and am SUPER HAPPY! I sometimes wonder if some problems people get are caused by dealers taking your Spyder apart and screwing it up? If I screw up, I know I screwed up and my fault... Maybe I don't trust anyone else? In fact I don't... If I had to take my Spyder in for dealer service I would request to be able to watch the tech work on it.

Needless to say, I have seen people on facebook or other sites NOT buy a Spyder because of all the posts here or other places about people with problems. HELL, I was a little worried when I bought one because of this. I am glad I WENT FOR IT and "balanced" the issues posted on forums with the fact that it's going to be a small percent. People come to post when they have an issue, MOST never post when they don't. That's how forums work... At least I knew that going in and it did not scare me away.

Anyway..... I AM A SUPER FREAKIN HAPPY SPYDER OWNER!:yes::yes::yes::yes::yes::yes::yes::yes::yes: :yes:

Now looking forward to another 10K and one day 100K :spyder2:

Did you do your own break in service too?

No, for my 600 mile I took it to the dealer. I was told this is kind of a must do to keep the extended warranty as it needed to be checked with BUDs. Not sure if that really is true or not but thats what I did.

The 14,000 mile service I may take it in as that is when the valves are to be checked. I know MANY Spyder go in for that only to find no needed valve check. But since my Extended is good till Jan 2016, I figure it might be worth it to have done just in case. If I don't and there is a valve problem later, I pay... So I am debating the 14K when it comes which will probably happen 1st quarter next year at the rate I am riding.

Congratulations!! :2thumbs:

But there's something else you should be proud of. Along the way, you have helped MANY other Spyder owners with innovations and issues on their own Spyders, through your informative videos and knowledgeable advice. THAT counts for almost as much as the 10K on your odometer. And I want to thank you for that.

Thank you... As I learn I like to share and do it for nothing in return. I enjoy that.

Again thank you! :opps:
