• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

So, today I'm out for a ride,I stop at a light and a HD pulls us beside me.
he looks over at me and says " is that a girls bike " I look at him for a second and I say " it must be,your daddy let me take it for a ride " he smiled and the light changed he took off and a few seconds down the road he must of realized what I said, his brake light came on and he was flipping me the bird.
i loved it. :yes::yes::yes:

Surprising that he caught on that quickly

That's an odd encounter

I hope it doesn't leave a negative impact on you.

I have only had friendly encounters with other riders, and would never even consider giving a negative reply back, to someone else's ill will comment about my Spyder...
Some folks are just negative all the time, so let them be.

Just ignore someone with a simple mind, that has no idea about what a Spyder is, or why we ryde them.
Because their thoughts don't count, in the bigger picture.

Have a good day... Go for a ryde on the Spyder. ;-)

I've never ridden another motorcycle before so I wouldn't know if a Spyder is a girls bike or not. Lol

It's only a girl's bike; if you have to sit down to take care of "personal business"!

If I was a guy and he said that to me I wouldn't have seen his tail light because I would have left him in the dust. What a jerk.

Seen these in Lamont's pics...

Pretty sweet isn't "She"? Hehehe

Show him your key chain? ;-)

When we did our hundred miles today had a HD pass by us. New vehicle tags on it--as in just purchased. You could see the Hrrruuuummmppppphhhhhhhh look as he tooled by us.

My thought, he just realized he could have bought a :spyder2: instead. Sorry for his loss. :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

Thumbs Down

I've owned many Harleys in my time and loved them all. I never looked down on any other bike. Two of my sons own Honda's. Since we have bought our Spyder and visited this web site I have read several threads about how poorly HD riders treat us Spyder riders. Personally I have not seen that at all. We give them the Harley wave and they respond with the same. Only a very few don't. Today my wife and I stopped for gas and while relaxing there with our sodas several groups of HD riders came in then left. We had opportunity to talk with each one of them and not a vile word was spoken about our Spyder, only many positive comments. The only negative encounter that has happened to us while riding the Spyder was the other day when we came to an intersection and a BMW driver looked at us and gave us a 'Thumbs Down'. Amazing, a special 20 something smart _ss kid, not a Harley rider. I hope all of you from now on will have nothing but positive encounters with HD riders. For the most part they're good folks, and only doing what we all like, and that is riding with the air in our face. At times, I believe it is some of our Spyder riders who are closed minded and have a chip on our shoulder. Now go enjoy that wonder machine you have!!!

Is that a Girls Bike

I was at Hell's Kitchen yesterday and some Harley Riders pulled in and parked next to my Spyder and they mentioned that they liked the Spyder and how cool it was. We discuss about going around corners and I told them once you learn how corner and told them I could keep up with Harleys. I was a pleasant and nice conversation. Never mentioned about being a girls bike. BTW the Harley guy almost got creamed by a stupid pickup truck pulling out as he was pulling in.

I rode "Rusty"s Ride" in Xenia, Ohio last Saturday . It was a charity ride ride named after a tec/mech who used to work at the Dealership. Very nice bunch of people and a great meal as part of the ride. Self guided route sheet.

Hooked up with a group of riders, lead by a gentleman on a Honda, Several HD's and one spyder, me. One estimate, 300 plus motorcycle, saw one other Spyder, but never made contact with the riders. Lots of HD's and all kinds of other motorcycles. No fight or even bad words.
Oh and bye the way, It is sponsored bythe HD Dealership.

Anybody around Xenia/Dayton next year, suggest you come and ride, Great ride, nice people and a lot of fun

LEEB,

I'm probably the only one, but, I took it as just the opposite from everyone else. The OP admitted he was the daddy's you know what.

I have had no Harley riders give me any additude, but did have a Goldwing rider once come up as my wife and I were getting ready to drive away and put his hand to his ear and ask if it was running :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:
