• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Does anyone know...

Why not simply repost it?.

if there's a way to repost (find) a deleted post?

I know quite often I will go to start a thread, and then wander off and do something, when I return back, the thread is empty. All that I had typed or posted was gone!!??

I hate it when that happens. Too many things on the mind at once, can begin to confuse ones self, me thinks. Get er done, and move on, is great planning.

Now if I can only follow my own lead! ;-)

Plus the having to return back and retype stuff this iPad thinks it knows me and places words that don't even make any bloody sense in the context, want to strangle Siri too, she gets on my last nerves some days. Very often!!

Had it up to here with her Apple advantage antics.

I was selling my Nomad trailer...

Why not simply repost it?.

about a month ago and it sold within a few hours. The sale was dependant on me being able to purchase a BRP trailer I was looking at. That didn't happen so the sale was off. I deleted the post.

Fast forward a month and I just purchased a new, pearl white, 2013 BRP trailer and now the original buyer is picking up the Nomad tomorrow morning. I just wanted to post it was sold.

Ya gotta love Spyderlovers!

Thanks to Len, at Pitbull, for locating the trailer for me and telling me where it was at. I called them, negotiated a price and picked it up on my way home from a wedding in Florida. Life is good!

Forums are funny, they swear they don't delete posts yet it happens all the time. :banghead:

I'm an Admin on a forum that actually doesn't remove any posts. It is a great being able to say what you wish to say and not worrying about some corporate suck up removing posts or threads....use to happen everyday on the Shelby forums for example. Sucks when people can't speak their mind. :(

I deleted the post because it was no longer for sale. Because it's now sold, I wanted to post it sold. I didn't know if it was archived somewhere, so I asked.

So you are the one around here deleting posts? :gaah:

:roflblack:

Funny how this forum lets you delete posts if not an Admin. lol

Being able to delete posts or threads that you start is a good thing. On more that one forum I have happily typed away on a rant, either in a post or thread, only to realize after hitting submit that I had totally misconstrued something I read. Deleting those was much better than having to go back and say "yes, I know I am a idiot/jerk/whatever, and I sincerely regret my post/thread"

RECALLING AN ERRONIOUS DELETION

if there's a way to repost (find) a deleted post?

A friend recently sent me these words of wisdom: "The quickest way to undo things, especially when you aren't sure what you even did, is to hit the Ctrl key and the letter Z. Ctrl + Z will instantly undo the accidental damage."
Good luck,
CapNCrunch : =)

:agree:. Lemont specifically chose to allow us to do that. I also participate on an RV forum that uses this same forum software, but they don't allow the option to delete or even edit your own post except for immediately after it's posted. I like this option MUCH better.
