• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. 2012 Spyder RT-S Frunck Gasket

I have always had a problem keeping the frunk gasket in place while loading/unloading my travel gear. Now I noticed that there is a tear in it. It appears to be cheap and fragile. I do not want to purchase a BRP part ($18.00) just to have it tear again. Any thoughts? Any after market replacements?

I used double stick tape

On my 2012 RT Limited - I ended up using double stick tape. I put 4 pieces about 6" long on each corner area. Seemed to keep it in place. I have not done it on our 2014 RT Limited, but probably should do so....it's only lifted one time so far.

Good luck.

Mine has torn a few times now.
I just keep patching it up with a little supper glue.

I know JT sells a replacement gasket for the RT622 trailer; not sure if that would also work on the frunk or perhaps he has something else that might work better than OEM.

Through 4 years of hard riding, the frunk gasket on mine (3 of them) have come loose only occasionally and then it was only when I wasn't being careful... A little extra care in using the frunk and no problems occur

You could always try being a bit more careful around the darn thing... :opps:

The gasket lifts off every time I store my duffel bag in there …. and I use it quite often. I am very careful with my Spyder but this gasket is made cheap and the top part is very thin. I don't even remember tearing it.

I tore mine about 2 years ago. A little bit of Guerilla glue, close the frunk and let it set. Havent had an issue since then. It will come off from time to time. If you dont have a liner, get one. It will make it seat tighter.
