There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Are there any videos on replacing the battery in an RT. I have copied all sorts of instructions, but a video sure would be nice to see:clap::clap:

Might help to know which year RT we're talkin about. The position of the battery changed in 2013. 2010 -2012 it was under the passenger seat. In 2013 it was put just behind the frunk.

Video of Battery change

I have a 2010 RT and my battery died this weekend. Husband took out old battery, but unsure if he can re-install new battery. Is there a "trick" or how-to video?

Thanks,
Shelley

It's a tight fit for sure. If he got the battery out what problem is he having getting the new one in?

TIGHT BATTERY

.....If the Battery you are trying to put in is even slightly tight you may want to slightly adjust the size of box you are putting it in ( on the Spyder ) Because if you force it in ...you are going to have an extremely hard time getting it out ....................I also put a strap around mine so I could pull it out if necessary ......Wrap it around the long way ...it's a better fit .........................Mike ......................This is not necessary on the 13,14, & 15 RT's IMHO

Here's what I do..!!

not sure about the RT but on other bikes I would lightly spray WD40 on the battery case and thread a nylon (and I stress nylon..non conductive) cord through the battery posts making a handle. This helps you guide the battery better and slip it into place. Many compartments have foam pads which keep the battery from sliding and if the battery is off a tad it will not go in...
