• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Most annoying ? about your Spyder

By far, the most annoying question I get is "How much does it cost". It infuriates me that people can be that rude. Number 2 is "What kind of gas mileage does it get". Has anyone ever bought a Spyder for the gas mileage?

As a matter of fact, that was the tipping point for my purchase of the '14. I was tired of hunting for gas stations every 100 miles...

I'm not annoyed that people ask me questions. At this point I probably know more about Spyders than most of the salesmen do and they have to get their info from some place. When they ask how much, I simply tell them they can be bought anywhere from 17000 to 30000, depending on the model and features.

How much it costs never bothered me. To me, there's no difference than someone showing me their new cordless drill, and I ask how much. I'm in the minority regarding price. Every time this has been mentioned, most agree with your take.

We should start a list of annoying questions:

"Can my kid sit on it for a pic?" Uh.. no, can I sit on the hood of your car?

"How big is the motor?" Duh.. it says 990cc on the side, dumba$$.

I really don't mind the questions. A couple of years ago we had just finished grocery shopping. This guy in the parking lot asked "where are you going to put all that stuff". I showed him! As far as the cost I'll just say less than a Honda or a Harley trike.

The only time I get irritated with the price question is when it is obvious that the person asking was bored and wants me to entertain them. I have had a lot that are intrigued by the thought of three wheels and really want to know if it is in their price range. The one that really got me was a guy in Ouray CO. We had stopped for lunch and we came out some guy was really looking over the bike. His question, as he pointed to the trailer, was "can somebody ride in there?"

Now that would be funny.:roflblack:

Hi 125,

Re: "Can my kid sit on it for a pic?"

That's interesting. Just last week I was at a restaurant and noticed about an 8 yr old kid having mom take his picture standing next to my Spyder.

I immediately went outside & asked them if he would like to sit on it for a photo. They were overjoyed; and it did not cost me anything.

"Stay off of my lawn" just does not work for me.

I really hate this one

Can you turn off all those lights? I tell them that I could but Reggie would get mad.

Fun, fun, fun..!!

none bother me. I rather enjoy it sometime have a good laugh sometimes just walk away. But I do answer their questions and they do appreciate it. It's the critizism I take issue with. " Do you have one.? Have you driven one.? Then don't assume or presume "...

Simply the most annoying question for me....and I'm surprised that it hasn't been brought up....is "Do you like it?"

My reply..."Nope I don't. 55,000 miles, and I don't like it at all." lol

I can't say I'm annoyed by it, as much as I'm surprised-- nearly EVERY time I get asked questions, the *first* question is always about the price.

And while I never judge a book by their cover, more than one of the folks who ask it are most likely NOT in the financial place to buy a Spyder.

Then again, perhaps the guy with holes in his dirty white t-shirt driving a 25-year-old smoke-belching Corolla to pick up his late-morning tallboys is, in fact, getting his stock tips from Warren Buffett? :dontknow:

My guess; is that the curious folks are just trying to start a conversation about the bke. ;)
They just need a better opening line; that's all!
I never talk dollars; I talk about the FUN! :2thumbs:
