• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Massive oil leak on new 2014 RT

Mine had a similar problem. BRP fixed it at Spyderfest. It had something to do with the wrong type of Loctite used on a bolt down by the transmission. I dropped it off at the BRP tent and was given a loaner bike. It takes 24 hours for the correct sealant to set up. No problems in the ensuing 6000 miles

Right on - see my response concerning solving the problem. Thanks for the heads up especially when talking to the Spyder mechanic. He had the Spyder apart and showed me the allen head screw and where it was located. He has to follow BRP recommendations but I would have used something like JB Weld to permanently seal it.

Mine was done despite the fact it had no leaks, and none since. Haven't read that any of the numerous other owners
that had it done experienced any leaks afterwards either, so you should be good to go shortly. :D

BRP uses a Loctite primer/cleaner on threads and Loctite 243 to seal oil set screw.
You won't have anymore oil leaks from that set screw.
What is last 4 #'s of vin # on 2014 RT; only the 1st few months production up to May 2014 had a problem with set screw leaking oil.
Here is a photo of oil set screw & oil leak bottom of engine.
A small oil drip makes a mess with wind blowing it around bottom of engine.
Enjoy your 2014 RT 1330cc awesome torque motor!!
