• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Gas Prices

Current pricing is $3.85 for 87, $3.95 for 88, and $4.05 for 90.

It is down from the summer high of $4.12 for 87, plus .10, plus .10.

This covers anchorage metro area. It gets more expensive as you go inland. I paid $4.85 for regular in Seward AK about 3 weeks ago.

Have the prices dropped where you are?

We're at 3.25 in town. 3.36 right down the street from me. We were in Pa. and Md. this past weekend. About the same prices there as here. Virginia, 3.17 at the Sheetz on US 17 and US 340. 2.99 in Fredericksburg. In NC we pay 37.8 cpg state tax along with the 18.4 cpg fed tax. The state wants to raise the tax again.

Those are regular gas prices. I pay 3.61 for 91 octane.

NC has more roads to maintain than Virginia and that is why our state tax on gas is higher to maintain them.

Paid $4.19 for 93. A week later (at a different but not that far away station) paid $3.47.

When you're down to 1 bar and the low fuel light's on you do what you have to.

We do have the largest state maintained highway system in the country. It would be ok if the two previous governors hadn't raided the highway fund for other purposes.

New Jersey politicians have a long and illustrious career of raiding the Highway Trust Fund for everything except the highways. It's a time-honored tradition. Concurrent with annual discussions about raising the gas tax to replenish said Trust Fund. :banghead:
