• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

First post in the new Spyder F3 board

I see a solid linkage from the pedal to the master. If it is adjustable then the rod would have to be adjustable as well. There is also the issue with the shifter on SM models.

I wanna know how this guy in the pic is obviously moving, but his hair coming out of the back of his helmet is not moving at all!! :doorag:

PS - I was at the dealership yesterday and they said it has the 1330 engine. It's a nice looking machine and I like the styling, but it's basically a 1-person bike and I'm not totally sold on the front-end.

Can't wait to see it in person. One thing I know for sure is that the very first mod has to be exhaust. No way this monster bike can sound like stock spyders usually do. It just wouldn't look right. Since it has the "biker" look, it needs to have the biker sound.

The Missing Link

Not the fella atop the machine, but the machine itself,...

This hits the Cruiser, Bagger market perfectly, something BRP was missing with the Spyder.

Relaxed seating position.
Feet forward
Small or no faring
Back sweeping bars
Rakish styling
Appears to have saddle bag mounts

I really like it, and more over, I like what it brings to the Spyder line-up overall!

Hi Lamonster,

Since this new machine is all the buzz on here, I thought I would offer my thoughts.

And they are worth what you paid for them.

1. I really like the bold look; i.e., the new front end. It looks more like what I would want for these machines.

2. I would like to see an optional smaller engine ( if, in fact, it will have the 1330 engine ). Some of us would be quite happy with a 600 cc engine.

3. I hope ( but doubt ) that it has an optional SE shifting mechanism.

OK, everyone sit back, relax & have a beer; time will tell.

I am guessing the beta testing has already been completed. As usual, nobody called me--even though I could have given them a couple hundred miles a day. Almost that many miles are on my new 2014 though--so I am happy.

At the very worst case Sept 23 you'll have most of your questions answered and I'll be able to fill in the blanks but till then we can all just wait and see. It is good to see the new blood showing up.
:welcome::doorag:

Great looking bike but I'm looking forward to see what you end up doing with it!

Lamont i have been away and just got back. took a 10day trip on the spyder's...yes we have 2 now. Hey would it be possible to fabricate an air ride suspension for the f3. With 5 back surgeries I need some soft riding lol. Just a thought I know you are a busy guy. I would buy this bike in a heart beat...love the orange frame and truly love the look of this spyder.

since I believe that is the first joint venture muffler from Brp/Akropovic venture, I doubt it will sound anything like a stock spyder

I hope you're right. This bike needs a strong sound to sell it's Harley look. If it's not strong enough, I'll make sure it gets the exhaust it deserves. ;)

F3 and yoshimura

A killer combination. looking forward to it.
