• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. 2015 Bare bones Spyder?

Forgive me if this has been discussed ad nauseam already, I 've been been kind of hit and miss on the forum lately.
When Lamont had the forum open for speculation about the 2015 models, I was intrigued by a bare bones Spyder for ~ $10000. What do you suppose that would be? I would prefer something on the order of the ST rather than the RS. JMHO.

:lecturef_smilie: We wondered where you disappeared to...
My "gut feeling", is that it would be something more along the lines of a de-contented RS...
We'll know in about six weeks! :D

Welcome back. Some ideas thrown around. Smaller engine, manual transmission, no reverse, just bare bones everything. Probably a good entry item, but the average person would soon grow tired of it, want more power, and probably farkel it to make it a "real" :spyder2:

Like Bob said, time will tell in about 6 weeks or so.

Your back..!!

Thinking a smaller version. There is a 250 cc out there close to what our spyders are and they may have checked it out. I think they might go 600+ but like the RS with no bells and whistles...:dontknow: We will see soon enough. Not seeing as much hype as last year so not expecting much...

There are lots of 2010, 2011 RSS in that price range. That would be my suggestion for an entry level Spyder. That is what I did and recently upgraded to the 2014 RT after 9 months.
