There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Very sad.

I agree that there must have been something else going on that caused him to drift off the left side of the road. A friend of mine was riding his GXR down a country road when he had a stroke and ended up in the tall grass in the ditch. It wasn't until the next afternoon that he was found when he woke up and walked onto the road. Thank God there were no lasting effects from the stroke, but he has lots of hardware in his wrist now.

Not 'Great Falls' after all

How ironic that the poor fellow comes from a place called 'Great Falls'.
Very sad to learn of this tragedy and feel sorry with and for his family, loved ones, as well his coworkers.

I'm sure this loss will also be felt at the dealership, where ever he had purchased the unit.
I would be interested in knowing what caused the mishap, and whether he had a stroke, or perhaps even a heart attack that caused this to happen in the first place.

Also, it would be good to send condolences to his family from us, the Spyder community.

What a gorgeous machine he rode...

I Hope That My Meaning For This Post Is Clear...

 If there can be a bright side to this event...
He died while riding, and the bike ended-up being pretty much okay...

How many of us would choose this ending for ourselves? :dontknow:

accident

Soo sorry to hear about this. My condolences to family and friends. This, I think, is the reason I would like to have a cut off switch in the seat if I get off loaded unintentionally! The Spyder went thru 2 TWO? fences?? OUCH. I gather he wasn't on it at the time tho. What a bummer for his family.

Prayers for the family. Spyder doesn't look none the worse for busting two fences. I know this isn't really funny but I looked at the video and it almost looks like the one deputy is saying to the other "what is it"?

Cut off switch in the seat? IMO a very bad idea. First of all just something else that can malfunction. Secondly do you ever stand up while riding to stretch? I don't do it often but when I am on a straight 4 lane and the ride has been long I will sometimes stand up.
