• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

ST gets no respect

Not really, most that buy RT's are only adding lighting, the ones that buy the RS, RSS and ST's are the ones spending more money on accessories, just sayin...LOL

They have to add more accessories because they didn't buy an RT, which already has all the good stuff!:joke:

True but my ST-Limited has enough to keep me happy, I don't really need anything for it, I added an aftermarket tinted windshield and a few items from BRP when I made the purchase, don'r really need a trunk or tank bag, I do wish I had two more speakers in the back of the bike but mostly for my passenger

There are a pretty nice variety for the ST's , alot are interchangeable between the ST and the RS.

The RT's always get more, there Farkle hogs :roflblack:

Last year at Spyderquest we talked to the BRP rep for the area and he told us that RT's account for 70% of Spyder sales. With numbers like that you see why the RS-ST lines don't get much respect. St's account for probably not even half of other 30%.

Sales for 2013

Here are the sales numbers for 2013
RT''s 5100
ST's 3100
RS's 1500

The ST owners deserve a little bit of Farkle...LOL

Thanks for replies. I knew this topic would take a comical turn.

I should have mentioned that was really referring to the aftermarket accessories. I checked out BRP's catalog and jeez seem to me over priced but might have to suck it up eventually.

I really wanted the RT but some of us don't have deep pockets. I settled for the ST but I still love it.

Thanks Jeffsm69 for the stats. Yes ST deserve more Farkle whatever that means... guessing a profane kind of sparkle.

I have a ST...I pulled my rear rack...off my rs and it bolted onto the ST......so any rs accessory will fit the ST...as far as tank bag goes...won't fit.....the brake, fog lights, heated grips button would be covered......I believe the more youthful spyder ryders are on a ST......

This thread is too funny, I know what you mean about accessories, there's not a lot out there for the ST's especially in the aftermarket, I'm still hunting an exhaust and don't want the tin can style muffler, there are some nice things out there that will work on the ST but are labeled for the RS

I look at it like this, I refer to the RS owners as kids, the ST are the middle age people that aren't ready for the full RT or Retired Touring model as I call it (Old ppl Bike)....LOL
I must not have read the notice on age! 62 and loving the rss! :roflblack::roflblack:

More youthful?

I agree on "more youthful" :p

OPPS, I didn't know that I was suppose to be youthful to own/ride an ST. Dose that mean that I should return the bike back to the dealer and demand my $$$$ back? just how old/youthful dose one have to be to be an ST owner?
