Warning - road construction - hot asphalt droppings everywhere! Yikes!
:yikes::yikes::yikes::yikes::yikes: Yikes. I was rydin' today out to lunch and back home - short trip. I went through Stillwater, MN where they are repaving tons of roads in anticipation of the bridge project. Most of the work is asphalt.
Well............went though a work zone slowly and there were "droppings" of small asphalt clumps EVERYWHERE on the newly paved "clean" road where we are suppose to drive.
After getting through this, I felt and heard a "once around" thump, thump, thump..... Pulled over within the mile at a park and examined all tires/wheels all the way around. It was still there...got home (just a few miles away) and put it up on the jack.
Found a chunk of rock mixed with asphalt sticking to my rear sprocket where the belt travels! :gaah::gaah::gaah::gaah: Also one small rock embedded in the belt. Removed both and inspect all including front pulley, belt, rear pulley, etc. That was all and lucky to not have damaged anything. Now she's "smooth" again when riding.
Just a friendly warning, with all this road construction, about picking up the debris that's all over the place -- good luck!
