• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyders with front bumpers...

Spyder Tony

A while back (maybe 9 months to a year), I saw a post that had pics of Spyders with these custom front bumpers mounted/welded on them. If memory serves, they were mostly out of Australia, and the bumpers were for the critters they would hit on occasion. In any case, I just spent the better part of an hour searching the forum for that thread to see the pix posted of the Spyders with the bumpers attached. If anyone knows of the thread OR of these modified Spyders, please let me know. I have tried a Google image search, but to no avail.

Thanks!!!

Was this the one..??

Now THAT is Cool!!! I would imagine that if you added the Bumpskid to protect the very bottom plastic, the frontend would be quite a bit safer from a lot of the common hazards, tire treds, small critters, parking lot blocks, etc....Also a spot for more lights! :)

Is there a Manufacturer?

Thanks to you all:yes::yes::yes:
Chupaca's post pointed me in the right direction and I was able to track down the "Roo bars" or "Bush Guards". I was telling a friend about them, and now I can show her the pic I was referring to...

I found it!
That bike belongs to Mike H... View attachment 92220
I was closer than I thought... :D

It belongs to Spydajohn in Australia, and it is his pride and joy, he has spent a lot of time personalising it, and it
is a credit to his workmanship, there are so many little things all over the Spyder that you dont notice first time.
Im sure there are a lot more pics of it on the ozspyderryders site

I like that bumper. But any critter bigger than a 'possum would still mess up your frank lid, wouldn't it?

yeah but it looks cool! Isn't that what 95% of the farkles we put on the Spyders are for anyway, to get the looks we want and if there happens to be some practically that comes with them that is all the better.:2thumbs:
