• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Insulation on Gas Tank

So I used some pipe wrap insulation tape with foam and foil on the front of the gas tank to help insulate it. I also used DEI exhaust wrap on the pipes and manifolds. Can anyone here foresee any issues with this? I've had recent problems with boiling fuel. Let me know your thoughts.

Yep not the right thing to use. DEI makes insulating tape that looks like aluminum foil That is what I did mine with. You can get it at most auto parts stores

Thanks. I looked but couldn't find any. Do you think I'll have problems with what I used? I have a long trip coming very soon and I can't wait for stuff to come through the mail. I need to buy locally.

I would not trust it unless it says it can handle 1500 deg heat (minimum) myself. Foam and exhaust pipes do not play well together. Search Snoopy and see what happened when his insulation melted.

I didn't use it on the pipe. I'm not that dumb. I used DEI exhaust wrap on the pipes. This is just stuck to the front of the gas tank.

Don't ask me.

My wrap has lasted 95 degree weather and 3000 miles but people think it will go up in flames at any minute. :(

Which is inches from the pipe. Your choice :dontknow:

The insulation you see on the plastic is BRP insulation same as on the Tupperware.

Okay, so after looking all over the net I found that the O'Reillys by me sells 15' rolls for $18. I'll be getting it tomorrow. Thanks for the input.
