There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Any suggestions on reducing glare on 2014 RT Limited dashboard?

Has anyone discovered how to reduce the glare on the dashboard (instrument panel) during sunny conditions?

Do Polaroid sunglasses make a difference?

Thanks in advance for any responses!

I find that strategic placement of the head reduces glare on the instrument panel but may lead to a stiff neck! Let's hope that Spyderpops comes up with something. Patti will be looking for royalty payments if he does.

Really???

I came up with the idea and suggested it to Harvey at Durango. He seemed to think it was a good idea.

I don't want royalties, I asked for my name on the product. But I'd settle for a free replacement glass.

Patti,
If you sign one for me; I'll pay a premium for it! :2thumbs: nojoke
(In a corner... I still need to be able to see the gauges! :D)

They make non-reflective clear plastic sheets for covering GPS unit and smartphone screens. Why not get some of that material and put that over the existing plastic screens (they aren't glass anyway)?

I was using "glass" loosely; I know it's really plexiglass.

I don't have that particular issue. I use Nolan helmets and they have the drop down "jet pilot" sunshield inside. That, combined with a lightly tinted outer face plate seems to work for me. I also have self darkening glasses, but they do not work in combination with the above.

RE: Tinted face plate-I have one light blue, one in the yellow/smoke and one in smoke.

I must sit and a good angle as I have no glare issues.
But I do wear polarized sunglasses and when not wearing those my helmet also has the drop down polarized dark visor.

I apologize if you took my comment as being critical, it wasn't meant to be. ;) However, some people do think they still use glass on motorcycle (and alike) instruments. It is a pretty common misconception on some boards, so I was just trying to be clear for anyone who might not know. :read:

Yes, use polarized sunglasses and/or just squint (cheapest option ;)). J/K.
You all have a nice weekend and enjoy your ride.

Another sunny weekend here in Vancouver!
