• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Passenger armrests

After a test ride on a 2014 RT-S, my wife gave me the thumbs up on getting a LTD that I had my eye on.
She liked the stock back seat pretty much but I think we might go with an Ultimate set up a little later. The one thing that she said that she missed from our Goldwing was her armrests. Does anybody have any suggestions on what to get in that area?

Just installed the Ultimate arm rests on our 12 LTD and the wife really likes them, especially since she developed shoulder problems.

I went with Diamond R Accessories. They're a sponsor and are great people! Take a look at their web site.

I was unable to find this arm rest on their web site. Were you able to purchase it as a single purchase. Do you have a photo,

Phyllis,

We offer them, but they are not currently on our website. They are actually the Rivco armrests, but we make custom or standard black pads for them. Give us a call if you would like to place an order through us for them. 877-672-0288.

Best,

Dave

Diamond R was my choice. Wife complained about same thing, misses the armrest we had on the Wing. Diamond R were the ones of choice and easy to install.

I am looking for an armrest for my 2014 Spyder RT Limited. I like the look of the Rivco armrest. Could you please quote me a price and give me an idea on how to install.

Corbin

My wife liked the Corbin Armrest with the cup holder better after trying out all the other brands at Spyderfest 2013. The Corbin is probably more difficult than the other brands to install but that's what she wanted since she sits back there.

edit: I forgot to mention that I have the Ultimate seat also. Thanks 0992 for mentioning this in your post below.

I have the Ultimate seat but the wife wanted Corbin armrests with cup holder...so that's what she got and she loves it., so do the grandkids when I take them. Everyone's Happy Happy Happy !!!

I highly suggest the Corbin since it is the only one I found that does not swing out and gives the wife a feeling of security when going around corners. She does not have to hold on to the grips. And they are short enough that they don't get in the way when getting off and on.

I Pulled A Picture...

...off of Rivco's website... RIVCO Armrest.jpg
They appear to bolt to the inside panel of the speaker housings. I saw them up close at Americade at Rivco's booth, and at Ultimate's... They really do seem to be very nicely finished! :2thumbs:

False Sense of Security?

I am also in the market for armrests and I really like the Corbin's as well. However, I've been told that while they look and feel more secure than the other models available, this may not actually be the case because mounting screws used are short and are only mounted into the plastic of the speaker boxes. That kind of worries me, because my wife can't reach the handles with these. Perhaps because she's short, I guess....
