• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. 1/4 mile drag with 2012 RS SE5

This week I ran a 14.05 1/4 mile; my fastest 1/4 last season was 14.22. I put on BajaRon's top shelf plugs (cold) & top shelf wires; everything else is stock. I changed my own oil, fuel filter, & the rest of the recommended changes/checks from the master service manual & ran 400 miles before going to dragaway. Getting out of the shoot is the toughest, I spin & then eventually get past the first 60 feet & then immediately get to the high power band/9 RPMS and then paddle through the gears. Possibly need to change gearing in computer. Has anyone done this or have recommendations? Or do you need BUDS system or power commander 5 & new exhaust. Above 5 RPMS it runs how I want it to run on the strip, it is from idle to 5 RPMS that need improvement. Any thoughts/guidance to improve 1/4 drag times are appreciated.

I put an air duct (shop vac hose) from right fog light hole to right rubber inlet tube for air breather/filter. I thought I would get more air/power, etc. However, with the air duct hose, it seemed to be slowing my 1/4 mile times, so I took it off & then ran my fastest - 14.05. With the air duct on, I also noticed significantly more heat on my right leg. I took off air breather & I found oil in the air breather. After 27,000 miles, this is the first time I found oil in my air breather. I'm wondering if the rubber inlet hose is set for the right pressure/back pressure so it is not pulling oil into air breather, just a thought.

What were the times & or any videos of 2014 spyderfest drags? I wanted to make it down this year but it was finals week for my university.

Work on your reaction time and you will be in the 13's. Overall, that's a pretty decent run on a stock machine.

:congrats: on setting a new "Best"! :firstplace:
Try rolliing off the line just a wee bit easier; to let it hook up... THEN squeeze it's tail tight! :2thumbs:

FYI.. Reaction time has nothing to do with E.T.. The timing system does not start until you break the beam and then stops when you break the beam at the end of the track. However how far you roll into the beam does effect your E.T.. Deep staging will give you a better E.T., but shallow staging will give you a better MPH and slow E.T.. My opinion is work on your 60' and you see some 13 seconds time slips. Maybe try bringing the RPMs up a little higher on the line so you don't "shock" the tire when leaving the line. I've been an avid drag racer for the last 20+ years, so take my 2 cents for what you will. Lol

Great..!!

no suggestions just congratulations..!! :2thumbs: you are getting better and will find the way to get better I'm sure...

any time you let the shop change your oil they alwas over fill so you must drain some out all over fill oil gos in to the air box.:chat:
