• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Are the Can-Am saddlebags DRY?

Just a question. I'm going to hopefully not be riding in any rain but I was wondering if the saddlebags will keep my stuff dry or do I need to put them in plastic bags??? :dontknow:

Well..!!

as far as I know they do keep your things dry. If you have doubts you can put things in plastic but have not seen others do it. You could give your roadster a good washing and see for yourself...have a great trip and may it be a dry one...:2thumbs::ohyea:

No time to test now. Just thought of it last second:pray:

I've had two sets- first one was dry as bone second set leaked. both sets were brand new. So :dontknow:..... finally installed a set of Corbin bags. much more room......

Thanks for the replies.:2thumbs: I'm going to proceed as if they are dry and I'll let you know if I discover otherwise

Be sure you have the decrotive panels on because with out them there are screw holes that will let in water if they are not there.

A little late in posting but have to agree with the others. Have not had any problems with leaks on either the Givi bags on the GS and RS, or the stock CanAm bags on the RT's.

If the worse happens on a trip--throw the stuff into plastic bags and it will get you back where you can work it out.

My wife and I have gone thru a couple of hard down pours and everything we had in all the compartments were dry as a bone.

I have them on my 2011 RS-S SE5 and they never leaked in almost 3 years, but my wife likes to use ZipLock bages for packing and unpacking faster.
