• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Keeping Corbin Seat Raised

I had a Corbin seat installed on my 2014 RTS and I really like it, especially the gas door. For those who have a Corbin seat, what do you use to keep the seat raised when you check your oil? It is so heavy and I'm not able to hold it up with one hand while I check the oil.

Mine has a little arm on the bottom of the seat

Corbin seats have built in brace

look under seat..it will be tucked along the seat frame..middle of seat..pull it down and there you go...

I figured I was having a 'duh' moment when I couldn't find the arm. Sometimes the obvious escapes me, I will look again. Thank you for the replies.

Sometimes the stock pneumatic arm is not strong enough to hold up the heavier seat. That happens to me sometimes with my Ulitimate seat

Find it or not, it will only hold the seat up a little bit. I cut a length of 1x2 oak cabinet stock to a longer length so the seat is raised a good bit. Oh yeah, my 'arm' is still tucked up in the seat. ...Don

Here is what I did. Contact these guys they have a stronger strut.

Thank you J.D., I will check them out. Since my original post I have been using a bottle of pop to keep my seat up whilst checking my oil. It actually works pretty good, but will see about getting a stronger strut.

The Corbin Seat does not have a any provision or place to mount a pneumatic gas shock. If the Corbin provided mechanical prop does not lift the seat high enough for your purposes you will have to fabricate a custom
prop rod out of wood, aluminum, steel or what have you.
