There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. has anyone with Corbin seat have a problem with passenger sliding forward I borrowed a drivers backrest but now she hunches down any ideas love the drivers seat but passenger is angles down quite a bit ....also I have factory pasenger backrest

I had to use alcohol to remove all of the slick stuff on the seat to minimize sliding. Much better.... doesn't look as good but much more functional.

We were able to drive to Hollister to get our's fitted. The passenger (wife) seat was built extra thick and with minimal forward slide. Try calling them and explain your situation. They are known to do what needs to be done to fit your needs. Sending pic of ours.

I had the same problem with mine. I ended up buying the
oval bac back rest for the driver seat. Now she can't slide forward
and she uses her thighs under the back rest to steady herself.:2thumbs:
Hope this helps.

did this solve problem ? Was there a charge if yes how much ? Also how long did it take to get it back?

We rode to the Corbin factory (Hollister, CA) when the seat was built. While we were there a couple of motorcylists were there to get their seats adjusted. My seat was the same price as any seat they make for the Spyder. They have an 800 number, so give them a call. Send them a copy of my pic in email if that will help you. The higher passenger portion allows my wife to look over my helmet, but also puts here in a higher center of gravity. Took a little adjustment for her, but she loves it.

Can Move the Rider Seat

---------------back about 1 1/2 inches by using only two of the bolt holes for the rider seat-----leave two bolts out---only need two bolts on the hinge unit----this moves the rider seat back about 1 1/2 inches and seems to connect better woth the passenger seat----worked great for me----I did this mainly to move the rider seat back because I'm so tall I needed more "scoot-back" room, but it made the passenger seat fit much better----elininated the small gap between them as well-----SSSS

My wife likes the new Corbin passenger seat but she does complain about sliding forward especially when I hit the brakes hard. I feel her shifting around back there during a ryde, too. We only have the passenger backrest and don't plan on adding another one for the driver.
What does alcohol do to prevent sliding? Is it a one-shot treatment?

I think it removes some type of topcoat on the leather that makes the seat slippery. I'm guessing that once you remove it, its gone for good.

This thread makes me thankful that I got a Russell custom built to my specs instead of buying a 'one size fits all' seat. :doorag:

Right on... except you can retreat with leather conditioner. I had a couple of instances last weekend where the seat was ALMOST too slick... if you know what I mean. :yikes:

Tatt, yes, I slide forward all the time when I am on the back. We've had the seats since July and it really hasn't changed. The hubby doesn't have that problem, but he isn't a petite little woman like me. His behind takes up the whole back seat about about a 1/3 of the front seat. I'm glad I'm small and can find a place to fit on the front while he's on the back.

I was thinking of doing this too. Glad to hear that it actually works. I'll have to give it some thought and maybe just bite the bullet and get a second backrest.

After alcohol I have to bungee baby on to keep her safe - usually takes about a six pack - so no its not a one-shot treatment - but neither does she complain about the bungee cords

PS (This is a joke ya'll - I'll probable get killed for this)
