• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I am accustomed to an RS without air deflectors. The RT has no air flow, and it is pretty miserable in high temperatures. How can I substantially improve the amount of air on my body? I have a mesh jacket, but it is doing me no good without any air to go through it.

I added Baker Air Wings to my 2013 RT-Ltd. Made a huge improvement in getting air on the body when it's warm. The other thing you could think about is a vented windshield.

[SUB][/SUB]Check out Baker Bilt air wings. They are a site sponsor on the home page. I have them on my ST-S and they really work.

I use Backer Built air wings on my RT and they work very well. You can turn them a little or a lot to get more air flow on you. They also work well to deflect rain around you when in the closed position.

Coming off a GS, I totally get what you're saying. I lowered the RT windshield to the lowest point safe for the brackets, put on the BRP adjustable wind deflectors and vented air toward me, wet my Buff headband to put around my neck and wear my Bohn Bodyguard Airtex shirt with a dri-fit tank top underneath. And I have a cooling vest for temps over 100 degrees ( fits under Bohn). Important to wear dri-fit against your skin, not cotton, to wick away moisture; once I made this gear change, I am staying much cooler.

Under Armor Shirts help also!

I have the Can-Am adjustable side wings as well as an F4 vented windscreen and when it's hot out I turn the side wings to direct air towards me as well as open the vent on the shield. This helps a lot

The Baker Air Wings will probably provide you with the most air flow. I have the BRP adjustable vents and they are pretty good. I had the BRP vented windshield on my 2013 and did not buy one for the 2014 as I didn't think it provided any noticeable benefit.

I like my BRP adjustable air deflectors... :2thumbs:
As a "quick and dirty" alternate; try removing the fixed OEMs, from the sides of the bike.
(Just put the screws back in place!)

IMHO the BRP adjustable side wings are a waste of money. Removing the OEM side wings does exactly the same thing. Air never blows above your knees. I want it on my upper body!

I am sure the Baker Air Wings would work better but I personally do not like the looks of them installed.

Another way to combat this (And spend more $$$!), might be to replace your windshield with a vented BRP 23" shorty...

No NO Bob I do not want to spend any more money!!!
All it'll take is a couple of side mowing jobs to pay for it...

If you've got to peel more than five or six-hundred tickets at one sitting... your fingers will start to cramp! :yikes:
