For those who have swapped out car tires for the front Kendas what pressures are you running at? Thanks in advance:thumbup:

BikerDoc is running Federals up front, and I think a Kumho out back...
Why not PM him?

Because I want this info in a thread for others to see.:dontknow: I am not changing tires yet but it is info that others who are may want to know. Public service message.

As I see it..!!

most posts of this nature show that they are pretty much running the same pressures. You are the one ryding your roadster and will have to find that magic point for yourself. The pressures recommended for your roadster should be a good starting point. You will have adjustments especially if you only have a car tire in the rear...jmo..

That is helpful and most of the time what I have heard is 17-20lbs on car tires in the front. Just wanting confirmation and experience from those that are running them.

I installed Goodride front tires & run 30PSI in each. Have 1500 miles on them so far and the handling is great.

I have Michelins all around and run the same pressure as was recommended in the OEM. I haven't seen anything to suggest a downside to this setup.

22-25 up front and 28 in back.. this is set up for hard riding through corners otherwise I would run 20 in the front.

That seems high to me. The higher the pressure the stiffer the ride. The front tires on the spyder are only supporting a fraction of the weight of a car tire on a car. You will find that by dropping about 8 or 10 pounds your ride will be much smoother and less bouncy on rough roads. Unless you are on a race track I don't think the difference in handling will be noticeable.
But to each his own. Just my opinion.

Mark, what Michelins are you running on your RT. I have a little over 23,000 on my OEM fronts and will probally change them out at 28 or 30,000. I have had good service from them but Michelins are the best.

What you say makes sense. I have not noticed that so far. The handling and ride has been the best I have experienced since I purchased my Spyder. I currently have 28,000 miles on a 2010 RTS

I have the Michelin Defender on the front (175/65R14) & the Michelin HydroEdge (discontinued) on the rear. The rear is a 215/60R15, which makes the speedometer always within 1 MPH of my GPS. Often, they show the same speed. See this thread for more information:

It seems to me that would vary depending on the tire you are running and how stiff the sidewall is :dontknow:
