• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Well, I hope you are all happy with yourselves...

We have jumped in with both feet. Up until a month ago my wife and I knew nothing about the Spyders - except they looked great and I lusted from a distance (the Spyder, I can lust after my wife much closer). I had just passed my MC Skills test and could officially drive a motorcycle. The original idea was to do 2 road worthy scooters and tow behind the new motor home. So we purchased the scooters and the trailer and then realized she hated being a driver on these two wheeled things. Then over memorial weekend a 21012 RT magically appeared for sale through a local Honda dealer. A day later I was driving it home. It goes without saying that we instantly fell in love with it. My wife loves to be a passenger (great for me).

Then I found this forum and so far, with the help of the search function, I have had all of my questions answered while at the same time having my wife veto and mod I would come up with. Then you had to have a Spyderfest at Lake George in the Fall (kind of). we just sent in the registration and we have the camping arrangements all sorted out at the LG RV Park. So now I can never retire as I will need to support our new habit.
Anyway, thanks for being here and we are both looking forward to putting some faces with names.

This is gonna be fun,
Bob

We did good..!!

Thanks gang, forgive my ignorance, what is this owners event you speak of? Being new to these 3-wheeled marvels, I am trying soak up as much as my tiny brain will let me.

:welcome: & :congrats: on your jump into the Spyderverse!! :nopic:

Do you know if there are any farkles on your 2012? If not, that's the thing to do next!!

The Owners Event is held once a year in June and is put on by BRP. Last year it was in Maggie Valley NC and this year it is in Durango Co. June 25,26 but most people show up a day or two early.

I would also say it is only a 3 day ride to the owners event for you, :yikes: hope to see you there.

:welcome: and :congrats: on your :spyder2: purchase. :nopic:Here's  to you and your wifes new adventures.

can am.jpg Here she is. You will notice I strategically parked it in my messy garage to increase the value of the home. Just focus on the ride, not the mess. Better picture(s) to follow (eventually). This is the first one that I used to make my friends jealous. Not to sure we will make the owners meet. We definitely are going to SpyderFest. I have a weakness for New England in the fall. Patti, no farkles yet. I have to vet all of my ideas through my wife, something about me being impulsive and all of that. I thought I would get a back up camera, but she nixed that right away. I'll see if we can get a custom frunk for the dogs to ride with us...

Hayfield, I will take a look at the MD site. I personally am always looking for an excuse to play and not work. Curse this burden of responsibility.

Thanks all,
Bob

Congrats!
I too just recently bought a Spyder RT, and have also registered for SpyderQuest. We will staying at Lake George RV Park in our Dutch Star motorhome.

safe travels!

John, that's great. Do you think they will teach us the secret handshake while in LG? OK, here is a better pic in front of the homestead.
