• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hello everyone. I'm new to the forum and I'm looking forward to learning more about the Spyder community.

I bought a 2010 RT-S a few months ago and I'll be doing a fairly lengthy trip with some friends in August. I've seen several recommended highway pegs on the forums. I'm thinking about trying the Street Magic RT Scuff Guards. Does anyone have any feedback about the wear and tear on the rain guards now that they've been in use for awhile? Thanks much!

Can't say..!!

But welcome to the roadster world and to the answer place...congrats on the new ryde..:nopic:..don't have highway pegs but heard Lamont has one of the best...

:welcome: and :congrats: on your :spyder:....................I have had scuff guards on my 2011 RT Ltd since day one and have had no issues with any wear.

I have had nothing but good times on my 2010. I have the Lamonster highway pegs on mine, I did rest my feet on the splash guards for a while but I wanted to have a better foot position to relax while on long trips and also didn't want to worry about messing up the plastic splash guards. I just turned over 23,000 miles this weekend on a trip to the mountains of North Carolina. You can tune your spyder to your liking in many ways to make it your own. Good luck and enjoy.

Vent

Thanks, Bob. Love your bronze too. That would have been my other choice.

Stan, I noticed that you don't have the radiator vent blocked off. Does it get too hot? For those that do block it off, it appears that the recommendation is to remove the bottom plate. Does that compromise the protection on the engine?

Welcome

Thanks for the info and the welcome. Loving my trike!

Dude ,Your going to Love it even more, if you invest in a ULTIMATE SEAT, and if it does not have any floorboards , I recomend the Spyder legs comport boards, either way how you put the Farkles on your bike , I Sincerly hope you a long ride, with your Face in the WIND!!!!!!!!
