• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Lights..!!

To get to the headlight bulbs you have to remove the instrument cluster. Not as hard as it seems. The manual tells you how but there are two slots above where the instruction card is. Pulling on the cluster insert a thin small screw driver to release the tab then do the other side. Unplug the cluster and set it aside. Now you can work on the bulbs...the bulbs are single filament H7's because you don't use a hi low beam but a shutter system. This is why you have low light fluttering. You can get better bulbs even though the hid lovers will tell you they don't work. True not as well as hid but better than stock....

No one has said how you get the bulb out and back in is there any special tools involved I have tryed for 3 hr with no luck and now I have to replace the other one. does anyone have photo or anything that will help :dontknow: jtpollock

Thus us how I did it. They rotate using a bayonet type clip on the bulb. You have to rotate them 1/2 turn counter clockwise (when looking at them)

1. Pop off the instrument
cluster.

2. Straddle the frunk - facing the rear of the spyder.

3. Insert your left hand into the cluster hole and grab the bulb on your right.

4, rotate It counter clockwise until it pops out. It's a good tug....

5. Repeat for other bulb with opposite hand.

Facing the rear of the bike allows you to bend your wrist in the cluster hole and grip the bulb.

If you unplug the cluster do you loose any information? Thanks for the replay I was close been trying to spred the retainning clips so I just seet the bulb and twist to the left to get them back in.:bowdown: jtpollock

I CHANGED OUT BOTH BULBS WITHOUT UNPLUGING THE CLUSTER.... just moved it from side-to-side, out of the way....

I just purchased the HID kit from KB CarStuff for my RS SE5 will be facing the same install. I watched my friend do it on his ST so seems pretty straight forward. The hardest part seems to be finding a good ground and the clips to remove and replace rubber gourmet.

Good luck with the install. If it does not go as planned afterwards. Just PM me. I put the same kit in my 2012 RS.
