• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Halfway there!

I looked at other pictures of this but really just how complicated could BRP possibly make it. This was a lot more of this stuff than I originally thought.

Not installed. I just sat it on top to see how it fit and looked. Need to run to the parts store and buy some sealant. Simply amazing! I could not even see the engine with the panels removed before I removed the airbox. I will finish up on Monday night and give it a try Tuesday.

Good job..!!

you all have more little stuff to deal with 20140502_142936.jpg RS has just the lid and the box..but you got it done..!! :2thumbs:

I know it has not been that warm here in the east over the last week, but how has the heat been since you did the air filter & side panels.

My comment was to Chupaca for having so little to remove. lol

We hit almost 80 over the weekend and bike did real good.

I don't have any fume spell any more, I haven't noticed boiling gas, and so far it is definitely cooler on the panels.

Of course warms up a little in heavy stop and go, but I don't get stuck in much of that.

Update

Went for my first ride today since installing JT's air filter. Good news is that is was also the warmest day we had in two weeks 75 degrees. I would normally start smelling the fumes from the evap canister above 65. First thing I noticed was the intake was a little louder under excelleration than I thought it would be. I will get used to it. After a few miles I noticed the engine temp gauge was only at 4 bars? Normally above 50 degrees I am at 5 bars AND I would also feel some heat on the left leg. In stop and go traffic the temp went up to 5 bars but would drop back to 4 after a few miles of continuously moving. I did feel some warmth on the left calf but it was not hot like normal. On the way back the low fuel light came on and still no gas fumes. Less than half a tank the fumes used to get really bad. So far this is looking like money well spent. Next week they are forcasting weather near or above 80 I will look forward to riding in those temps to see the outcome.

Nice

If the extra noise bothers you... I hear that changing to a K&N filter stops much of that sound...maybe change it next filter replacement. :)
