• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Always felt my 2012 RSS soundes like it idels high, the rpm's range from 1350 - 1450 and at times 1500. And this is not just when it start it up..
Any rss owners have similar idleing RPMs?

RPM

My 2009 GS :spyder2: idles at around the same as yours, the Rotax engine is a high reving engine and runs best at over 4000. The red line is 9500. You need to remember this isn't a low rpm machine like the Harley.

Not to worry..!!

But something to get used to. You are right where you should be and you can't change it anyway...:ohyea::ohyea:

My old RT would settle down to that 1350 to 1400 rpm idle pretty quickly...
The new bike seems to take longer to drop down into the 900 rpm range.
It hangs around for a while; up at 1200...
