• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Cat delete legal?

Catalytic converters are not only state, but federally required. It doesn't matter what the other guy is doing, it only matters if your vehicle came with one or not. It's up to a $50,000 fine for violations.

I'm not saying NOT to do it, or that it's a bad thing, just what the laws are. It's totally up to you. Many people will say "I've removed mine, and not been caught." I liken that to "I've been skydiving for years, and never had an equipment issue." It only takes once....

Well Mike; I don't know your friend...
But I'd have to guess that he just about did everything possible, to provoke the LEO into looking him over with a fine-toothed comb. :gaah:
Had it happened 60 years' ago; they'd have probably busted his taillights out with a Billy-club, and then wrote him up for not having them in operational order...
But of course; I could be wrong... :opps:

They can't find anything, if they've got no reason to look in the first place!
I'm NOT advocating mass civil-disobedience ; I'm just saying that you shouldn't call attention to yourself, if you KNOW that there's something to be found! :D
I have always believed that laws should be either followed, or changed: never ignored!
Off the soapbox now...
