• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Going thru the posts on here and came across the posts about bells. Where is a good place to get one? I am new to the Spyder, sad I waited so long. I love to read the posts here and can see that my wife and I have fallen in with GREAT group of people. Wish we could make it to Spyderfest this year, unfortunately can not make it this year, but next year will be here soon. Sure am happy I found this site.:yes::yes::yes::yes::yes::yes::yes::yes::yes::yes:

Gardian/Gremlin Bells

According to legend, the bell is supposed to be a gift. Most cycle shops carry them, there are many designs to choose from. Your significant other could purchase one and gift it to you. Most feel that the bell should be mounted as close to the ground as practicable. Mine, a gift from my wife, is mounted at the lowest point on the casting that the driver foot peg is attached to. I used a piece of soft iron wire to mount it, Welcome to the group.

Bells..!!

I have one gifted to me from Bob. These have the power of the writen word added..:roflblack: But google them and read the many stories about them. I especially like the part where the gremlins falling out of the bell causes potholes....we have a few roads bikes must run by quite often...:roflblack:

I'm wearing "Twins", on the back of my 2014.
One from a longtime Tri-Glide riding friend, and other other from "Sonny-Boy", as a bike Christening gift!

RT Limited Belt Guard

Can anyone please tell me how does a person get to the nuts that are on the two screws that hold the belt guard in place on my 2013 RT Ltd.:pray::pray::pray:

They have you covered. Great lore about the bells--and they do work.:thumbup:

We each have two on our :spyder2:'s. Both given by friends.

Shouldn't they be near the front of the bike to scare away the gremlins that are in front of you that throw the rocks and junk in your track??? :dontknow:

I go fast enough so that their reaction time it too slow to throw stuff in front of me. :roflblack:
