• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just checked with my Dealer and it appears that my new 2014 Spyder RTS was the first one sold here in Idaho, woo hoo let the fun begin:yes::yes::yes:Yeah me!

:congrats: You are ryding a "UFO". :bowdown:When you stop for gas or to eat, be prepared for all of the questions.:nopic:

:congrats: on having the first 2014 in Idaho.:yes: I had the second :spyder2: to hit Alaska. My dealer snarfed the first 2008.

Be prepared for lots of questions from the public. They do attract a lot of attention.

Not here in Idaho! We are very observant people, and Spyders have been around for 5 or more years now! They're getting to be "old hat"!!!:2thumbs:

couldn't resist!

The response was pretty unbelievable here in 2008 and when we added the 2nd one in 2009. Not so much anymore. Now the big deal is akspyderlady driving her own :spyder2:. She gets questioned about that at almost every gas fill up.

From the Dakotas through Oregon, dealers are few and far between, and they generally sell other brands as well. Translated, there aren't many Spyders on the road. When I used to ride my Spyder over the Meridian, the only two Spyders we ever saw, were ours.....

A couple of weeks ago the dealer in Boise, Moto Tech, held a meeting to start the process of organizing a local Spyder riders group. There were close to 50 folks there, and that wasn't near all the local Spyder owners!

Wow - you never see them. There again, neither of us are groupies.... probably more over here than you realize too - just rarely see one. Understand the Boise dealer is pretty good too.

"D" a member of our SpoKan Am club, who lives in Idaho, picked up 2014 RT-SE from Specialty in Couer d Alene, ID. around March 10th.

So far, based on my limited dealings with them, I would say they are. Parts guy and service tech easy to talk with. In fact, I owe the tech an explanation of how I installed a headlight modulator. I had my bike in for the fuse box/ECM update work and he saw mine in operation and was impressed. Apparently one came in where the guy had the shutters operating off the modulator and they all knew, including the owner, that was not good but the tech wasn't sure how to wire it in to work correctly.

Just about a week ago our dealer Mototech had a meeting to try and get a club started of Spyders for group rides. About 30 to 35 interested attended the meeting with their Spyders. So there are a few of us here in Western Idaho. I have to agree while out riding my back roads I don't often see many other riders!
